Jaeger Prize
The Commission of the European Communities announces that a Thomas A. Jaeger Prize will be awarded in 1983 to encourage and stimulate research in structural mechanics applied to reactor technology.
The prize bears the name of Professor Dr.-Ing. Thomas A. Jaeger, who founded the SMiRT conferences. It was awarded for the first time during the sixth SMiRT conference to Dr. U. Schumann of the Kernforschungszentrum Karisruhe (Federal Republic of Germany). It will be awarded again on the occasion of the seventh SMiRT conference to be held in Chicago (USA) on 22-26 August 1983.
The prize is open to researchers of all nationalities presenting a paper at the 7th SMiRT Conference.
